The Volkswagen Scirocco is a compact sports car that has undergone two generations of development between 1974 and 1992, and then reintroduced in 2008.

This third generation Scirocco takes on other compact sports car such as the Audi TT and BMW 2 Series Coupe.

This version was first launched in 2008 and was based on the Volkswagen Golf but designed as a stylish, three-door coupe. It can seat four adults and has a reasonable sized boot though it has a tall lip and is an awkward shape.

The Scirocco is available with a range of engines including efficient petrol and diesel engines as well as more powerful versions.

As you would expect of a sports coupe Sciroccos are engaging to drive and fun to tackle a twisty back road. That said it’s not class leading with other rivals such as the BMW 2 Series Coupe providing an even better driving experience.
