Production for the Vauxhall Insignia began in 2008 as a direct replacement for the Vectra and Signum models and fast became a big hit with both retail customers and company car drivers.

Known as Opel elsewhere in the world and owned by General Motors, Vauxhall is a big car brand here in the UK with models like the Astra and Corsa among the top-selling cars each year.

At home on the motorway, the Insignia is a key rival to other large hatchbacks like the Skoda Octavia and Ford Mondeo and boasts some of the best interior space, low running costs and equipment levels in the segment.

The Insignia is available as an estate (named Sports Tourer) and a hatchback, plus an off-road more rugged-looking version of the estate called the Country Tourer, which has a ride height raised 20mm and is available with Vauxhall’s four-wheel drive system.
