Rarely has a single name model name been applied to so many different types of cars as it has with the SEAT Toledo.

Today’s Toledo, launched in 2013, is a budget-priced affair, offering space and practicality with an elongated five-door hatchback body – it’s longer but cheaper than the SEAT Leon you’ll find in the same showroom.

Underneath, the Toledo rides on an updated platform used for the smaller SEAT Ibiza range and is built in the same Czech plant as its near identical sister car, the Skoda Rapid.

Value for money and low running costs are the current SEAT Toledo’s mantra, meaning it will appeal to buyers who are considering its Skoda twin, as well as the Dacia Sandero and MG 6, as well as cheaper versions of mainstream hatchbacks like the Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra.
