The Renault Megane is the successor to the Renault 19 and is a family hatchback. It’s built to rival cars such as the Ford Focus, Hyundai i30 and Vauxhall Astra

Over the course of its lifecycle we’ve had numerous body styles available including three-door hatchback, five-door hatchback, coupe, convertible and estate.

Production of the first Renault Megane started in 1995, and effectively it was simply a re-skin of the 19. The next year the Renault Megane Scenic compact people-carrier was introduced – a vehicle which became incredibly popular.

In 2002 the new second-generation Renault Megane came to the market. It was a complete redesign and featured some very French styling accompanied by a famous advertising campaign.
