The Nissan GT-R is a spiritual successor to a long line of high performance cars from the Japanese manufacturer. The previous generation models carried the name of Skyline and have developed a cult following and the vast majority sold in the UK weren’t officially imported.

The key appeal of the GT-R is its accessible performance and everyday usability, though that isn’t to say the GT-R isn’t powerful or quick. It is powered by a 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine with twin turbochargers to produce 480bhp. That makes it breathtakingly quick as it can cover the 0-62mph dash is covered in just 3.5 seconds and can go on to a top speed of 195mph.
