Probably the least known of the German’s manufacturer’s range the Mercedes-Benz B Class was first launched in 2005. Given the success of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class the company was hoping for more of the same with the larger B-Class.

While the car had its fans it was never a bigger seller as buyers put cash down on other family people carriers such as the Volkswagen Touran and Ford C-Max.

That’s not to say the B-Class didn’t have its great strengths. It offered a lot of interior space for such a compact car, it was extremely versatile, especially if you secured the optional removable rear and front passenger seats, and it was frugal on fuel.

The car offers the driver and passengers good visibility and, thanks to the flat floor preventing the engine from being pushed backwards, offers decent crash protection.
