The V8 is not only powerful but also smooth and provides a surge of pulling power that makes it a pleasure to drive.

In terms of the competition the XK8 positions itself against the Porsche 911, Maserati Coupe and Mercedes-Benz CL. It isn’t as accomplished to drive as the Porsche 911 and doesn’t enjoy the same level of reliability as the Mercedes, but as a package it provides a hugely likeable grand tourer that has an impressive turn of speed.

There are plenty of trims to choose from and standard equipment includes climate control, cruise control, heated seats and parking sensors as well as a computer-controlled suspension.
