The Infiniti Q30 was a premium hatchback which aimed to take on the likes of the Audi A3 Sportback, Mercedes-Benz A-Class and the Volvo V40.

Built at Nissan’s plant in Sunderland and engineered for UK roads, the Q30 featured a range of four engines when it was launched in 2015. It was the subject of a £250m investment by Infiniti, which is the luxury wing of Nissan.

There were 1.5-litre and 2.1-litre diesels along with a 1.6-litre petrol and a turbocharged 2-litre for the performance version, which was known as the Infiniti Q30 S.
