The Hyundai ix35 is the sister car of the KIA Sportage, a compact family SUV designed to take on the likes of the ever-popular Nissan Qashqai, Skoda Yeti and Ford Kuga. When the Hyundai ix35 was introduced, in 2010, what it did was help establish Hyundai on the map – now the firm had a proper mainstream model good enough to upset the applecart of its competitors. And not just because, like all new Hyundais, the ix35 came with the firm’s five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
