When it went on sale in 2003, the Citroen C8 was considered one of the best people-carriers in its class. Rivalling the likes of the Peugeot 807, SEAT Alhambra and Chrysler Voyager, the C8 offered car buyers a comfortable and spacious interior with plenty of practical features ideal for family life including useful sliding rear doors which made getting in and out easy.

The C8 was given a facelift in 2008 which brought styling updates including a new grille and enhanced interior materials, plus a new frugal 2.2-litre diesel engine which was available on higher trims. Offering 171bhp and 400Nm of torque, the car could accelerate from 0-62mph in 11.7 seconds plus had an official combined fuel consumption of 34mpg.
