The Citroen C6 was a serious, considered attempt by the French firm to launch a premium executive saloon. The aim was to provide a viable and desirable alternative to the likes of the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

The Citroen C6 was a serious, considered attempt by the French firm to launch a premium executive saloon. The aim was to provide a viable and desirable alternative to the likes of the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

On sale between 2006 and 2012, and even now it looks distinctive. It has a unique curved rear windscreen, while inside the cabin features softly opening door bins and wood veneers.

The C6 was never intended as a sporty model so the ride is soft, smoothing out a range of rough roads and pock-marked tarmac. Rear passengers also enjoyed a lot of leg room so combined with the smooth ride it was a very relaxing way to travel.
