Perhaps best known for its on screen antics as TV’s Top Gear’s Reasonably Priced Car, the Chevrolet Lacetti was first sold in Europe with a Daewoo badge.
It adopted the American maker’s badge in 2005 and was sold as a hatchback, saloon and estate known as the Station Wagon.
The saloon was the least popular model and was only available with a petrol engine, at first with a 1.6- and 1.8-litre and in its later life just the larger unit.
Hatchback and estate models were also petrol only with the latter sharing the saloon’s line-up, whereas the former had access to a 1.4-litre which needed to be worked hard.
