It was an SUV whose main rivals include the Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento and Mitsubishi Outlander. It was offered with a choice of two-wheel drive for lower running costs or all-wheel drive for mild off-roading ability. 

Launched in 2007, there was a facelift in early 2011 which ushered in a set of new diesel engines along with new gearboxes and new styling both inside and out.
