The Chevrolet Aveo was the car designed to turn the American fortunes around in the UK as it was a car that major on value, delivers a refined drive and came with a five-year warranty for added peace of mind.

That said, the Aveo was going up against some very stiff competition including the Skoda Fabia, Honda Jazz and Vauxhall Corsa.

The Chevrolet Aveo actually started off in life as the Daewoo Kalos but because the parent company of Chevrolet bought Daewoo the car was bought under the Chevrolet brand and dubbed it the Aveo.

The name may have changed but the small hatchback failed to impress against the likes of the Ford Fiesta and Kia Picanto. Yes, it was cheap to buy and an improvement over the Daewoo Kalos, but its rivals were a better bet.
