Power delivery is smooth, but the character of the engine means that it needs to be worked hard and revved a lot to get the best from it. But with a 0-62mph time of 8.9 seconds, the Suzuki Swift Sport is quicker than the MINI Cooper while fuel economy is good with an average of 40mpg.Just one gearbox is available - a five speed manual with a positive and slick shift that makes driving the Swift quickly very rewarding. 4.5 out of 5 Handling View full gallery Although the Swift Sport is quick, it's not outrageously fast. It's agile though and the fun comes from tapping into the performance. It corners superbly with little bodyroll, an excellent gearchange and good brakes - plus the steering is accurate and responsive - although can feel a little distant at times. And while it's a sporty model, it is still easy to live with day to day.It's simple to park, nips in and out of traffic with ease and has a small turning circle.
