Suzuki sticks to its easy to understand trim line-up of SZ2, SZ3 and SZ4 levels, with the Sport as a separate model and the only one available with the 1.6-litre petrol engine. The 1.3-litre DDiS turbodiesel only comes in mid-spec SZ3 trim and the automatic gearbox is only offered with the 1.2 SZ4 model. There is also the Swift Attitude special edition has sportier looks thanks to a new front bumper, alloy wheels and rear privacy glass.

Standard Suzuki Swift equipment

The Suzuki Swift range gets going with the SZ2 that comes with seven airbags and ESP as standard, which is the case for all Swift models. It also has central locking, electric door mirrors and electric front windows, CD stereo with MP3 connection and a split and fold rear seat. The SZ3 brings air conditioning into the mix, along with 16-inch alloy wheels. Top spec is the SZ4 that has a hill hold control for easier hill starts, automatic air conditioning rather than manually adjusted air con, automatic headlights, front foglights, keyless entry and Bluetooth. The Sport has the same safety and security equipment, along with front sports seats, automatic air conditioning, electric windows and door mirrors, automatic headlights, auto air con, CD stereo with MP3 connection, rear privacy glass, keyless entry and ignition, and uprated suspension with 17-inch alloy wheels. The special edition Attitude has matt black 16-inch alloy wheels, carbon fibre effect vinyl covering the roof and door mirrors, rear spoiler, front fog lights and a Swift Attitude logo in carbon effect trim. Inside, the Attitude has air conditioning and steering wheel controls for the stereo.

Suzuki Swift accessories

There is a wide range of alloy wheels to choose from to brighten up the Swift in 15-, 16- and 17-inch sizes, and they comes in traditional silver, satin black or white paint finishes. More exterior options include a roof-mounted cycle carrier that sits in the optional roof rack. A lockable ski and snow board carrier can also be fixes to this roof rack. There is also a cycle carrier that attaches to the optional tow bar for the Swift, though you will also have to order the electrical kit for towing trailer at extra cost. Rear parking sensors are a sensible option, while a boot load tray keeps the carpet clean and protected from muddy boots and wet dogs. Also practical is the multi-media unit that incorporates sat-nav and iPod connection with a seven-inch touchscreen. Less practical are front and rear spoilers to give the Swift a sportier appearance.

From summer 2013 the Swift range was revised with the introduction of a five-door 1.2 4x4 model in SZ3 and SZ4 trims. All existing models were lightly facelifted with a new front bumper and grille with silver accenting and revised interior trims.
