Cheap 'n' cheerful Indian-built supermini. As you'd expect from one of Britain's cheapest cars, it comes with few frills, but if economy is what you're after, it will do the job offering cheap insurance and 40mpg.

No Euro NCAP rating. You get two airbags and belt pretensioners and that’s it for safety kit. Security is limited to an immobiliser - an alarm is optional.

Reliability

Indian built to a budget so interior is very flimsy though basic mechanicals are reliable enough and the warranty is reassuring.
