Cheap 'n' cheerful Indian-built supermini. As you'd expect from one of Britain's cheapest cars, it comes with few frills, but if economy is what you're after, it will do the job offering cheap insurance and 40mpg.

Comfort

Little expense has gone into reducing vibration and harshness so long drives will be hard work. But it shouldn't be a problem if you're just poodling about.

Practicality

Rear space is tight and the boot is tiny but the split-folding rear seat increases luggage capacity considerably.

Behind the wheel

Roomy enough for front passengers at least. A reasonable driving position can be found but steering wheel doesn't adjust. All round visibility from driver's seat is pretty good.
