The second-generation Skoda Fabia takes the formula of the original model from 2000 and updates it with sleeker looks and even more practicality. As with all Skoda models, the Fabia is well made and good value, while it’s also very comfortable and ideal for town driving.

Skoda Fabia safety is let down by a four star Euro NCAP rating which is a little disappointing - especially when similar cars are gaining a maximum score of five stars. However the Fabia does come with dual front and side airbags as standard as well as ABS and electronic brakeforce distribution while the Fabia 3 adds curtain airbags.

Reliability

This Fabia isn't an all-new car - it's partly based on the previous model. That car suffered from a few glitches when it first went on sale but these were quickly ironed out and its reliability proved to be impressive. Many of the components used on the latest model are tried and tested so expect decent Skoda Fabia reliability.
