The sporty Ibiza is SEAT's sister car to the Volkswagen Polo (2002-2009) and Skoda Fabia (2000-2008) - all three share the same platform and use the same components. In addition to the sharp styling, it's impressively equipped, easy to drive around town and comes with a good choice of engines.

It ticks a lot of boxes for a wide range of small car buyers and as a result is a very popular used buy.

Changes from Spring 2006 include subtly revised looks (new front and rear bumpers and re-designed double headlamps), a better quality trim and improved equipment. This is most noticeable on sporty FR versions that now look more like the range-topping Cupra. SEAT added a tax-dodging, low-emission model to the Ibiza range in 2008, with the 1.4-litre Ecomotive emitting under 100g/km CO2 and costing nothing to tax as a result.

What owners say...

The way the seats fold down to create a pretty sizeable boot space comparitively speaking.

Good size boot. Quite economical on fuel compared to my last car of similar size.

Very economical for the speed. Also reasonably reliable, 1.9 VAG PD engine will keep going strong with good maintainence.
