The BMW 6-Series blends cutting-edge looks with subtle sophistication. It's everything you want from a grand tourer, with powerful engines, lane-clearing road presence and the talent to take on twisty roads when you need to.

There's no official Euro NCAP crash safety rating for the 6-Series, but the 1-Series and 3-Series which were launched at a similar time, both achieved the maximum five star rating for adult occupant safety. BMW’s Dynamic Stability Control is supplemented by five additional safety features to create DSC+. These include brake drying (which applies the pads to the discs in wet conditions to clear a film of water), brake pre-tensioning and brake fade compensation which recognises brake temperature rises and automatically increases brake pressure to prevent any fading.

The 6-Series is fantastically well engineered and material quality impresses. We've not heard any reports of problems and like the rest of the BMW range it should prove reliable and durable.
