Sleek and elegant German coupes are nothing new, though the A5 is the first of this size that Audi has built in a long time. It’s a good all-round package that comes close to matching the BMW 3-Series Coupe and Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe with a fine range of engines, a high quality interior and an enjoyable driving experience.

Buying used

The best models are available through the Audi dealer network, where they’re well prepared and come with at least a year’s warranty and breakdown cover. You will, however, pay a premium for this. The more sporty styled S line trim was introduced in early 2009 and comes with LED running lights as standard along with sports suspension.

Selling

The sleek shape, fine engines, well finished interior and the prestige of the Audi badge mean that demand for this coupe is consistent and strong, with dealers willing to snap up the best examples. Diesel models should be the easiest to sell on.
