Used Suzuki Alto (2009 - 2014) Equipment

In line with its simplicity, the Suzuki Alto has an uncomplicated model line-up, aided by there being just the one engine on offer. There is also just the one body style to pick and it’s a practical five-door hatch that offers a surprising amount of cabin space thanks to the car’s tall sides and upright seating positions.

Standard Suzuki Alto equipment

The Suzuki Alto range starts with the SZ that comes with power steering, electric front windows, CD stereo with MP3 connection, twin front airbags and Isofix child seat mounts.

Next up is the SZ3 that ups the ante with central locking and air conditioning, while the SZ4 goes the whole hog with ESP, curtain airbags, front fog lights and alloy wheels.

Only the base SZ has central locking worked by inserting the key into the door lock as the rest of the Alto range comes with remote central locking for added ease of use.

The Play special edition of the Alto, released in 2012 and limited to around 500 cars, comes in a unique Oyster Blue Metallic paint colour with one-off blue seat fabric and silver styling features unique to this model, along with front fog lights and air conditioning.

Every Alto other than the starter SZ has driver’s seat height adjustment, but only the SZ4 and Play models have a 50/50 split rear seat.

Optional Suzuki Alto accessories

Given its no frills approach, the Alto has a wide range of optional extras to make it stand out more from the crowd.

There are no fewer than four optional alloy wheel designs to choose from, while a detachable tow bar and roof-mounted cycle carrier make it more practical.

Roof bars can be ordered separately from the cycle carrier and Suzuki also offers a bike carrier that mounts to the tow bar. A lockable ski and snowboard module can be fixed to the roof bars.

Inside, the Alto can be made more comfortable with a centre arm rest for front seat occupants, while a chrome speaker trim brightens up the cabin. Carpet mats help protect the interior from dirt, while reversing sensors keep the car’s paintwork safe.

Suzuki also offers side and bumper rubbing strips to guard against parking scuffs, which reflects the Alto’s city car status.
