Skoda Fabia Estate (2015 -) Equipment

There’s a choice of three trim levels available on the Fabia Estate: S, SE and SE-L. There’s a sharp up-lift in specification over the outgoing model too meaning this car represents better value than ever.

Standard Skoda Fabia Estate equipment

Even base-spec S models get a fair bit of equipment. Highlights from the kit list include DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity, six airbags, stop/start and electric front windows.

Moving up to SE specification nets you further toys such as air-conditioning, alloy wheels, front assist (automatic low-speed braking), a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a pair of height-adjustable front seats, a trip computer and black roof rails.

You also get a hi-fi system known as ‘Bolero’, which features surround sound, USB and aux-in connections and telephone control. This will also control your Bluetooth-connected smartphone and also features Mirror Link – a system which connects your Android smartphone to the car and mirrors certain applications such as sat-nav or green driving training programmes. We found Mirror Link to be very unreliable, failing completely in two cars while we were using the navigation system. We’d like to try this is a car in the UK to see if it works better here.

Top-of-the-range SE-L or Elegance cars get larger 16-inch alloys along with climate control air-conditioning, automatic headlights, cruise control and a keyless entry system.

Optional Skoda Fabia Estate equipment

There are a wide range of personalisation options for your Fabia Estate. A panoramic glass sunroof is a popular option, while Simply Clever features like the rubbish bin in the doors and storage net options are available too. Estate-only options include a variable boot floor and a bike carrier.

Skoda offers something called Colour Concept, which alloys buyers to customize their Fabia with a range of roof and alloy wheel finishes to match the exterior colour scheme.

There are 14 colours to choose from and cruise control, parking sensors, a fatigue detection system and automatic lights and wipers are all optional. Buyers can also have telescopic front washer jets and heated front seats.

Be careful when spec’ing your Fabia Estate as there’s capacity to go pretty wild with colour schemes, some buyers will be put off by garish paint, so yellow with white roof and green wheels is probably not a particularly shrewd move if you want a quick sale when you’ve finished with the car.

Monte Carlo special edition

If you want a sporty look for your Fabia Estate then you'll like the Monte Carlo edition. We’ve seen the European details but Skoda says they will be similar to the UK spec.

The special trim adds black alloy wheels, optional sports suspension, tinted rear and rear side windows and a tinted panoramic glass roof. Inside the car you get a three-spoke sports leather steering wheel, black interior and sports seats.
