Toyota Land Cruiser (09 on)

Summary

5 out of 5

What does this car say about you?
Well I like the fact that I'm looking down on Land Rover and Range Rover drivers. Nowadays that's every third vehicle. I like the fact that Land Cruisers are a bit more rare on the road.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all really like it. I have had a few questions over the running costs but 24 in the city and 30 on a run is pretty good for this big motor.

Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes because I have tried loads of different vehicles over the years and this one really feels special as well as doing all the things that I wanted it to plus I really wanted a reliable car.

What are you likely to buy next?
I always like to keep an open mind but probably another cruiser.

Buying experience

5 out of 5

Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised

Did you buy this car new?
Used

What price did you pay?
£26,000

When did you buy the car?
April 2016

Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes nice dealers, with very good people skills. Listers Toyota at Grantham.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a big tow car and I spent a long time researching all the vehicles in this catagory. I decided that I valued reliability over hype. I couldn't face the reliability issues of some of the other premium brands. I know I made the right choice for me.

What was the dealer like?
They were willing to negotiate and I got the things I really wanted with a fair part exchange.

Driving it

5 out of 5

What's it like to drive?
Easy it just cruises along, I didn't buy it to race off the lights. It's has more than enough power to deal with everyday driving.

What's it like to park?
Really easy to be honest, and I have a reversing camera so I can even see the tow ball. Very handy.

Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?
No and I don't expect it will.

What's most practical about your car?
It's the ride height and sense of safety. Cheap to maintain and service.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
LED headlights and reversing camera. I know it will get me anywhere and that makes me feel very confident travelling abroad with my caravan behind me.
