Rover 25 1.4 iL (103ps) 3d (2002/02) - Owner Review

For what it is, a very nice drive - communicative steering. Gearbox and brakes could be better.

Rover 25 (99-05)

Value

5 out of 5

Bought mine just after Rover went bust, cost me a fraction of the list price.

Costs

Servicing cheap, parts too but hard to find. Insurance OK, although mpg can be low if driven hard.

Driving

4 out of 5

For what it is, a very nice drive - communicative steering. Gearbox and brakes could be better.

Performance

4 out of 5

Considering it is only a 1.4, very good if revved hard, although needs more torque, especially on motorways.

Reliability

3 out of 5

Hot starting can be a problem, not much other than that

Not the best, will go for a more prestigious brand for next car

Comfort

4 out of 5

No problems for shorter drivers, nice low seating position.
