Ford Focus Hatchback (11-18)

Summary

4 out of 5

What does this car say about you?
Boring.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I'm grown up.

Would you buy this car again and why?
It's dull but practical. If they improve the sync ideally with Apple carplay then it'll be great.

What are you likely to buy next?
Golf or another Focus next year.

Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?
New

What price did you pay?
-

When did you buy the car?
April 2015

Did you get a good deal and why?
Good offer for company financing. it worked out cheaper than the Zetec.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Great company financing deal.

What was the dealer like?
Very slow to reply to communication. Needed constant communications to move. very sluggish (unlike the car!).

Driving it

5 out of 5

What's it like to drive?
Engine is great and will pull very well on all roads despite it's size. It's comfy and feels like I'm wofting around more than the previous model. (1.0Zetec 13 plate 100hp).

What's it like to park?
The front is difficult to judge but it's no worse than other cars. The back is easy as the parking sensors are excellent.

Living with it

4 out of 5

Have you had any problems with the car?
No, nothing has gone wrong. The sync2 is almost brilliant but has far too many button presses to get anything done! eg. turning off the navigation has an annoying are you sure? button as do many of the menus. Using the navigation to direct you "home" is 99% translated as "phone" by the voice recognition so it's best left to button presses.

What's most practical about your car?
Parking sensors are good with a clear display. the start button is great when you get used to leaving your key in your pocket!

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Custom Sync2 wallpapers. LED ambient lighting feels classy too. Auto lights and wipers are excellent.
