Citroën C3 (02-10)

Summary

1 out of 5

What does this car say about you?
I made a dreadful decision, and should have stuck with diesel clios.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Dreadful, they helped me in the search for a replacement the week after I got it.

Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Well I cannot think of a reason why I would, not one.

What are you likely to buy next?
I bought a 1.5 diesel clio, the 100bhp dynamique one, seems like a top end AMG merc compared to the C3. Just get a diesel clio (65, 80 or 100bhp ones) if you're looking at buying this.

Buying experience

3 out of 5

Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?
Used

What price did you pay?
£1,800

When did you buy the car?
January 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?
I suppose, was a couple hundred cheaper than most others with similar spec and mileage.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Looked at the facts and figures, looked a great car cheap little car ....

What was the dealer like?
OK, didn't allow much money off the asking price.

Driving it

1 out of 5

What's it like to drive?
Dreadful. In the wind I could not go over 45 mph as it would blow all over the road. Struggled to ever get over 40 mpg (stated it would get 60+) no matter how I drove it. It wouldn't go around a corner over 30mph. Steering was heavy and the whole driving "experience" became depressing very quickly.

What's it like to park?
Visibility was good, heavy steering did not help though.

Living with it

1 out of 5

Have you had any problems with the car?
Didn't have it long enough to find out (3 months).

What's most practical about your car?
Wouldn't move fast enough to do any damage if a crash occured.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The button that told you if you went over 70 mph(can be turned off by pressing the button), I think I got it to beep at me 3 maybe 4 times, awful performance.
