I stay in the country, and have been able to take washing machines etc. home from the shops without waiting for (and paying for) delivery. Fuel consumption is quite low. 4 Want to know everything there is to know about this car? I think it says the driver likes to drive. He does! What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car? The liked it. Would you buy this car again and why? I would buy it again, but the rear wheel drive is a drawback in the winter as the traction in snow & ice is terrible. I am looking at a X-drive version. What are you likely to buy next? Front wheel drive. The X-drive BMW is a step further than I need. I will therefore opt for an Audi A4 Avant. Buying experience 5 out of 5 Type of dealer you bought from? Franchised Did you buy this car new? Used What price did you pay? £22,750 When did you buy the car? May 2008 Did you get a good deal and why? I thought that I got quite a good deal. The car had a few extras. Is there any special reason why you bought this car? I had an Audi A6 Avant and wanted to downsize. I liked the power & handling, coupled with the versatility of an estate. The car was tree months old with 700 miles on the clock. What was the dealer like? The dealer was very helpful. Driving it 5 out of 5 What's it like to drive? Great fun. It eats up motorway miles with ease and in comfort, it is fun to drive on country roads. Easy to drive in town. What's it like to park? Rear visibility could be better but the parking sensors take care of that. The car is quite compact. Parking was not ever a problem. Living with it 4 out of 5 Have you had any problems with the car? The remote opening failed - blown fuse. I replaced it myself (with some difficulty due to the inaccessibility of the fuse carrier). What's most practical about your car? The estate is always versatile. I stay in the country, and have been able to take washing machines etc. home from the shops without waiting for (and paying for) delivery. Fuel consumption is quite low. Favourite gadget, option or accessory? The window on the rear hatch opens independently of the hatch; very handy if parked close to an obstruction. I also like the electric sports front seats which can be adjusted to hug front passenger & driver's bodies.
