BMW 3-Series Saloon 320d M Sport 4d (2006/56) - Owner Review

Its a 4 door saloon with good boot space. Loads of room for 5 people even if they're on the XXL side.

BMW 3-Series Saloon 320d M Sport 4d (2006/56)

Summary

5 out of 5

What does this car say about you?
It says family man with a bit of class and money.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My neighbours give me approving / jealous looks. Friends love it and so do my family. Its got aggressive but has subtle styling. People think its a slow family saloon but it really moves when needed.

Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes definitely. Its great to drive, fuel lasts ages, loads of toys and gadgets which are useful. A lot of interior space and its great when parking. Those leather sports seats are supportive and very comfortable.

What are you likely to buy next?
BMW 330d / 335d M Sport saloon or maybe coupe. BMW 525d / 530d M Sport.

Yes, the car was worth approx £9k to £9.5k and I only paid £7800 for it all in. Looking at Autotrader you couldnt get a car like mine for less than £9.5k and even then its without all the extra gadgets mine has.

High spec, only 1 previous lady owner, Full BMW service history, cheap price.

Driving it

5 out of 5

What's it like to drive?
Its my 1st ever diesel car but I quickly got used to it. Steering feels responsive and sharp as is the handling which feels secure and planted through corners. I love hearing the turbo spool up when the windows are down, when the windows are up its quiet, smooth and refined on the road. Gear changes are good. Its a saloon that drives like a hot hatch/sports car. I recommend that buyers change the run flat tyres if they find the ride a bit harsh. Run flats are useful when I had a puncture but if you cant handle the slightly hard ride then get something else and have some breakdown cover ready.

What's it like to park?
Its the biggest car I've ever owned but the rear parking sensors make it a breeze. Also the left wing mirror tilts down when you select reverse so you can avoid kerbing your wheels. So easy!

Living with it

5 out of 5

Have you had any problems with the car?
Only had it three weeks so no. Just changed the rear brake pads with only came to less than £50 with fitting included.

What's most practical about your car?
Its a 4 door saloon with good boot space. Loads of room for 5 people even if they're on the XXL side.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Folding mirrors with anti-dazzle, Full leather M Sports heated seats (rare apparantly), puddle lights, bluetooth, reverse parking sensors, and the left wing mirror automaticaly tilts downwards when reverse is engaged. Love it!
