BMW 3-Series Coupe 320i M Sport 2d (2007/57)

BMW 3-Series Coupe 320i M Sport 2d (2007/57) - Owner Review

Multi function steering wheel is very useful, as are the seatbelts that extend out to you when you 'plug in' the key. Parking Sensors are great too.

BMW 3-Series Coupe (06-13)

Summary

1 out of 5

What does this car say about you?
That you like to drive something that looks nice but don't want the high petrol costs.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They seem to like it, but I certainly wouldn't recommend one to them.

Would you buy this car again and why?
NO!! The engine fault with the 2 litre engine means you are very likely to have recurring problems. There are some horror stories on some BMW online forums. If you really want a BMW coupe either buy the 2 litre diesel or buy a 325i or higher.

What are you likely to buy next?
Something Japanese and reliable.

Not bad, part ex'd my old banger for it which I was happy to get rid of.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
BMW supposed quality & reliability, nice looks.

Typical car dealer.

Driving it

2 out of 5

What's it like to drive?
Nice enough when it works. The 2 litre engine lacks a bit of punch so I would recommend getting a 325i or higher. It is TERRIBLE in snowy and icey conditions, as you would expect from any rear-wheel drive cars like BMW. Even driving slowly I skidded into a kerb in slippery conditions and damaged the tyre. The ride is quite firm, every bump and pothole will be felt.

What's it like to park?
Not too bad when you get used to it. The parking sensors are a massive help, and reversing into spaces isn't too hard once you get used to it. Try not to kerb the lovely alloys though!

Living with it

1 out of 5

Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes. There is an engine fault with this 2 litre model. The car starts to loose power, and coils need replacing (BMW replaced the coils under a 'recall' - they clearly know there is a fault with this engine. The Engine warning light kept coming on and I had to replace various sensors too which are not cheap!!

What's most practical about your car?
Multi function steering wheel is very useful, as are the seatbelts that extend out to you when you 'plug in' the key. Parking Sensors are great too.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Parking Sensors.
