Nissan's Cube was an instant hit when it first went on sale in its native Japan, but it still took 12 years before the firm was brave enough to bring it over here. Going head to head with the ubiquitous Mini and the Kia Soul, it majors in style with its unusual boxy design.

Buying used

The Cube is a distinctive and well equipped model, and with few sold as new, used values might seem relatively high, shored up by limited numbers. It's no excuse for buying the first one you see, but be prepared to pay top money for the one you like.

The Cube should sell easily, despite its unusual shape. It's a practical and fun runabout.
