The Honda Jazz has been around since 2002 during which time it has shifted more than 300,000 of them in the UK and won 70 European awards. It is quite a big deal, and one of Honda’s most important cars.

Running costs

Honda Jazz running costs should be pretty low which ever model you choose, but as there is only one engine the only factor to consider is the gearbox.

The manual promises 56.4mpg while the auto fares better with 61.4mpg. Bear in mind this is based on running on 15-inch alloy wheels so if you upgrade to the EX trim’s 16s you can expect higher bills.

Emissions summary

CO2 emissions range between the manual’s 116 g/km and the auto’s 106g/km of CO2. Both are pretty low but it’s a shame that there isn’t s sub 100g/km model to tempt buyers in with free road tax.
