Used Ford Focus Saloon (2005 - 2009) Buying & Selling

Review by David Ross on
Small saloons have never caught on in the UK. Unlike the rest of mainland Europe, British buyers prefer hatchbacks and it's easy to see why.

Buying used

Compared to the hatch, the Focus saloon is a small seller so there aren't many on the second hand market. The good news is that as it only comes in higher trim levels, all cars are well equipped, however only go for one if it's cheaper than an equivalent hatchback.

Most buyers will be after a hatchback or estate, so selling a Focus saloon can be difficult. The key selling point is that all models comes well equipped, but expect to get less than you would for the equivalent hatch model.
