Used BMW 5-Series M5 (2011 - 2016) Buying & Selling

The Holy Grail, if you like, is for BMW to outstrip its own very high standards and build the best ‘M’ car ever. They probably achieved that with the 1 M Coupe launched in early 2011 but now this, the fifth generation of the M5, is seeking to take that title and there's no doubting it is a class act.

Buying used

Finding an M5 will be hard and finding a well-maintained version that has never been used on a track will be harder still. If you get one from BMW's Approved Used scheme you'll get a 12-month BMW warranty among other benefits. If you are buying one privately make sure it's been regularly serviced.

Selling

Thanks to its performance credentials and relative scarcity, selling the M5 shouldn't prove a problem. If your version has been serviced at regular intervals and has low miles on the clock then the odds are that you will see a high return when you come to sell.
