BMW claims its 1-Series M Coupe is the spiritual successor to the first M3, the legendary 'E30' from the Eighties. Those are strong words, since that model is widely regarded as one of the best cars ever to come from BMW's performance and motorsport wing, the 'M' Division.

Equipment

There is only one trim level on the 1M. As standard you get 19-inch alloys, dual-zone aircon, aux input, leather upholstery with black and orange stitching, Efficient Dynamics (comprising Brake Energy Regeneration and optimum shift indicator), ISOFIX child seat attachments, cruise control, M badging, electric front windows and M aerodynamic body styling.

There's also M-style heated electric mirrors, Sports seats with width adjustment, Xenon headlights and LED rear lighting cluster. Optional extras include Bluetooth, BMW Assist, DAB digital radio, lumbar support for driver and front-seat passenger, metallic paint, sat nav, front heated seats and a USB audio interface.
