Parkers Rating:

4.5 out of 5

The Audi RS6 quattro is one of the most powerful production cars available. Powered by a ten-cylinder bi-turbo 5.0-litre engine it boasts an astonishing 580bhp, putting it alongside a handful of cars such as the Bentley GT Speed in terms of power output. And when it comes to performance the RS6 isn't far behind most supercars with a 0-62mph time of just 4.5 seconds - that's on par with Audi's own R8.

As you'd expect, it handles superbly, combining immense grip with surprising agility for a car that weighs more than two tonnes. The ride is fairly supple making the RS6 useable every day, but although it's stormingly quick it lacks the feelgood factor of its less powerful rival, the BMW M5. Like the BMW it is available as a saloon and an estate, but while it's technically brilliant, it's also incredibly expensive.
