The first generation of BMW’s flagship car, the 7 Series, was built from 1977 to 1986 and although it was considered by many as rather understated when compared to its rivals, it was renowned for its driving fun and supreme handling, while still maintaining the luxury and interior comfort expected for a car in its class.

The four-door luxury saloon was initially only available with six-cylinder petrol engines however throughout the years diesel engines have grown in popularity and in today’s line-up  diesels dominate the powertrains on offer.
